Terms of Use
These terms set out how crew, vessels, recruiters and businesses may use MYKINDREDCREW and where responsibility remains with people.

Important
MYKINDREDCREW supports recruitment introductions and decisions. We are not the employer, vessel owner or crew member, and a compatibility score is not a guarantee of performance, safety, employment or suitability.
1. About these terms
These Terms of Use govern access to the MYKINDREDCREW website, accounts, profiles, workspaces, matching tools and recruitment services (the Service).
The Service is operated by MYKINDREDCREW LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17107274, with its registered office at 107 Northcliffe Road, Stockport, England, SK2 5AN (we, us or MYKINDREDCREW).
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you use the Service for a company, vessel or other organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to act for it.
2. Who may use the Service
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into these terms. You must provide accurate registration information and keep your login secure. Accounts are personal to the authorised user and must not be shared.
3. What MYKINDREDCREW provides
The Service may allow users to create profiles, upload and review CV information, record qualifications, describe vessel culture and role requirements, receive or assess potential matches, communicate interest, share approved candidate information and manage recruitment stages.
We may change, improve, suspend or withdraw parts of the Service. We will try to provide reasonable notice of material changes where practical, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability.
4. Crew responsibilities
Crew members must:
- provide information that is accurate, current and not misleading;
- review and correct information extracted from a CV before relying on it;
- upload only documents they are entitled to use and share;
- keep availability, contact details, qualifications and certificate status up to date;
- make their own decision about every role, vessel, contract and employer; and
- promptly tell us if information has been shared incorrectly or an account is compromised.
Expressing interest or applying does not create an employment contract and does not guarantee that a business will contact, interview or hire you.
5. Business, vessel and recruiter responsibilities
Business users must:
- have authority to create or manage the organisation, vessel and role concerned;
- describe roles, compensation, leave, location, programme and working conditions accurately;
- use candidate information only for the recruitment purpose for which it was shared;
- keep private candidate information confidential and limit access to authorised decision-makers;
- conduct their own interviews, references, identity, right-to-work, visa, medical, background, qualification and certificate checks;
- comply with employment, equality, immigration, maritime, tax and data-protection law; and
- not make discriminatory, unsafe, deceptive or unlawful recruitment decisions.
A MYKINDREDCREW verification label records the status of our review process at a point in time. It is not a warranty that a document is genuine, current or sufficient for a particular flag state, vessel or role.
6. Matching and AI-assisted information
The Service may use automated tools and AI to parse CVs, organise evidence, interpret combined working-style information and generate scores, summaries or recommended matches. Outputs may be incomplete or wrong and must be reviewed in context.
Scores are comparative decision-support signals, not rankings of personal worth and not professional psychological, medical, legal or safety assessments. Human judgement remains central: crew choose whether to express interest, MYKINDREDCREW may review a match, and the hiring business makes the recruitment decision.
7. Privacy and controlled sharing
Our Privacy Notice explains how we handle personal information. Crew profiles, CVs and contact details are subject to the sharing controls shown in the Service. Private certificates and raw questionnaire answers must not be treated as available to a business unless the Service expressly provides authorised access.
Business users must not copy, publish, sell, scrape, enrich or reuse candidate information for unrelated purposes. They must securely delete exported information when the recruitment purpose ends, unless law requires retention.
8. Acceptable use
You must not:
- impersonate another person or create false profiles, roles, vessels or organisations;
- upload malicious code, infringe intellectual-property rights or breach confidentiality;
- attempt to bypass authentication, privacy gates, access controls or usage limits;
- scrape, harvest, reverse engineer or systematically extract Service or candidate data;
- harass users, send spam or use the Service for trafficking, exploitation or any unlawful activity; or
- use automated outputs as the sole basis for a legally significant or discriminatory decision.
9. Content and intellectual property
You keep ownership of content you submit. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, copy, structure, analyse and display that content only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure and improve the Service and carry out the recruitment steps you request.
The Service, its design, software, brand, original content and matching presentation belong to MYKINDREDCREW or our licensors. You may not reproduce or commercially exploit them without permission.
10. Fees and separate business arrangements
Creating a crew account is currently offered without a platform fee unless we clearly agree otherwise. Business recruitment services, subscriptions or placement fees may be governed by a separate written proposal, order, placement agreement or fee schedule. If there is a conflict, that separate agreement controls the relevant paid service.
11. Third-party services and communications
The Service relies on third-party hosting, authentication, storage, email, automation and AI providers. Links or actions may open email, WhatsApp or another external service. Those providers have their own terms and privacy practices, and we are not responsible for their independent operation.
12. Suspension and ending access
You may stop using the Service and ask us to close your account. We may restrict or end access where reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate misuse, comply with law, address non-payment under a business agreement or respond to a material breach of these terms. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and give an opportunity to resolve it.
13. Our responsibility
We use reasonable care and skill in providing the Service. However, recruitment depends on information and decisions supplied by independent users. We do not guarantee that a candidate, vessel, role, employer, document, score or opportunity is accurate, available, lawful or suitable.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, loss of opportunity, anticipated savings, reputation, profit or business arising from a recruitment decision or from reliance on user-provided or AI-assisted information. Liability for paid business services may be further addressed in the applicable separate agreement.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any mandatory consumer right.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, except that a consumer may retain any mandatory right to bring proceedings in the part of the UK or other country where they live.
15. Changes and contact
We may update these terms to reflect changes to the Service, law or security requirements. We will publish the updated date and provide additional notice where a material change reasonably requires it. Continued use after the change takes effect means the updated terms apply.
